LIMMERICK is an elegant, powerful stallion with good bone. He is a beautiful mover, with exceptionally strong hindquarters, conformation that is hard to beat, superb temperament and the ability to pass these qualities on to his offspring.

Limmerick is breeding true to his pedigree in the production of outstanding performance horses. From a limited number of mares in his first stud season in Germany he has produced 3 State Premium mares and 1 mare that finished very highly placed in the mare performance test for the whole of Germany, which includes all the stud breeding groups.

In Ireland Limmerick's eldest progeny are five year olds (2001) and certainly made their mark in youngstock national level show classes throughout 2000. Limmerick has covered an excellent selection of performance and show winning mares in his first two seasons at stud and Lougherne Stud are delighted with his progeny's progress to date.

In 1999 a Limmerick son was sold in Germany for a five figure sum. This was confirmed to a Nothern Ireland leading equestrian newspaper by the Holstein Verband.

Limmerick is Fully Approved with the Irish Horse Board entitling all his stock to a full green Irish passport and validates eligibility to the World Breeders Federation Show Jumping Championships at Lanaken.
